Tonight Clearwater comes together for the 2026 Honor Fest. A free community ceremony honoring fallen service members at Crest Lake Park, 201 S Glenwood Ave. Doors open at 6pm with the remembrance ceremony beginning at 6:15pm, followed by keynote speaker Commander Dan O'Shea, USN (Ret.) at 7:15pm and a closing tribute at 7:45pm. This meaningful event has been a Clearwater tradition since 2004 and is free and open to everyone in the community.

Memorial Day is more than a long weekend. It's a day to pause and remember the men and women who gave everything for this country. The Honor Fest brings Clearwater residents together each year to do exactly that through military tributes, shared reflection, and community spirit. If you've never attended this is a genuinely moving evening worth experiencing with your neighbors.

⚖️ Clearwater Residents Sue City Over Rejected Petition Signatures

A community group called Save the Garden has filed a lawsuit against the City of Clearwater alleging that thousands of valid petition signatures were unlawfully rejected. The group collected over 8,000 signatures supporting a proposal to preserve South Garden Avenue as a public community space honoring Clearwater's African American history. The ACLU of Florida filed the suit on their behalf in Pinellas County circuit court.
