⚾ NCAA Baseball Tournament Comes to Clearwater
BayCare Ballpark is hosting the 2026 American Conference Baseball Tournament from May 20-24 right here in Clearwater. The tournament brings together the top college baseball programs in the American Conference competing for the conference championship title. Games run throughout the week with the championship game on May 24th.
The winner earns an automatic bid to the 2026 NCAA Division I Baseball Tournament; one of college sports' most prestigious events.
If you're a baseball fan this is a rare opportunity to watch high level college athletics in your own backyard at an affordable price. Grab your tickets and head down to BayCare Ballpark this week.

🏖️ Clearwater Beach Water Temperature — Summer Is Here Early
If you've been waiting for the Gulf to warm up the wait is over. Clearwater Beach water temperatures have reached 81 degrees. Warm, clear, and perfect for swimming, paddleboarding, or just wading in. Historically Gulf temperatures peak around 85-86 degrees in late summer so we're already well into comfortable swimming territory ahead of schedule.

🐢 Sea turtle nesting season is here
Sea turtle nesting season is officially here and if you live near Clearwater Beach that means those magical mornings of watching mama turtles make their way up the sand are back. Volunteers from Clearwater Marine Aquarium and Sea Turtle Trackers patrol our beaches every morning at sunrise searching for new nests, and when they find one they mark it off and protect it from predators so the eggs can hatch safely about two months later. This year experts are expecting a quieter season following a busy 2025, but every nest still matters.
Here's something worth knowing as a Clearwater resident, last year Clearwater beach made history with the first leatherback sea turtle nest ever discovered in this country. Pretty remarkable for a place we get to call home.
If you're heading to the beach remember that from now through October 31st white or yellow lights on the beach at night are prohibited and you must remove all belongings before leaving. It's a small thing we can do to help these incredible animals find their way home; just like we're trying to help Zena and our other lost pets do the same.

Zena has been missing for 60 days from the Seville Condo area near Clearwater Costco. Her heartbroken family will not give up searching
Leah
Leah has been missing since April 28th from the King Arthur Court in Dunedin. Her Mom has owned her since she was a puppy.
Lobo
Lobo has been missing since May 11th from Gladden Park in St. Petersburg. Her Mom has owned her since she was a puppy.
